The Promising Promises of God

Paul says he's not ashamed of the gospel. Why? Because God actually did send Jesus and raised him from the dead. And it's in light of that that we have to understand what the promises were that God has been making throughout scriptures and throughout history. Paul doesn't generally talk about the life of Jesus as being anointed before his resurrection, but like David received the spirit when he was enthroned,. But there's that constellation of if you're exercising God's lordship on the earth  and you possess the spirit of God, that's true for Paul.
