The importance of managing stress especially when it comes to memory yeah. Our brains and our bodies were designed to respond immediately to an emergency or a threat right so a predator is chasing us or an enemy is about to attack our brains and body release hormones adrenaline and cortisol that act to mobilize your your brain to react at the moment to fight or flee then calm down. This whole orchestrated response in your body actually shuts itself off pretty quickly but we're constantly in a state of stress, she says. The problem with today is that you know we don't have lions and tigers and bears chasing us but our thoughts are our predators We worry a lot according to Dr. David Perry.
