Maybe this is part of it too, that I'm thinking a little bit about Adorno's critique of of heidegger. And I think like, no, this is why we go to historical materialism, right? It's the historical materialist analysis that says yes, there are social, political, economic reasons that are like historically specific as to why we've got this boredom thing"
