The History of Crude Oil Refining in the Caribbean
Much of what you've been describing has taken place in the United States, obviously Canada as well. Yet these stories of course and the narrow way that the environment has been defined and hence managed extends far beyond North America. I wanted to ask you about one place though that is within the nexus of US state, which is the Caribbean. I wonder if you could tell us about the history of crude oil refining there and the strange way that history unfolded in relationship with coastal mangrove trees and ecosystems.
