The Consequences of Crossovers in the Study

One critique that I've seen come up in a couple of different editorials related to the study has to do with crossover between groups. In the group that was assigned to receive spinal anesthesia, it looks like about 15% of them ultimately receive general anesthesia. There's some concern that this high amount of crossover could confuse some of the statistical analysis in the study. So just curious to get your thoughts about that crossover and what that ultimately means when interpreting the results of the study.
