The Importance of Owning Assets

When I talk about this concept of you need to own assets, I think about it in terms of transmitting consumption into the future. And the asset markets are our only way of doing that. So if you manage to get past what's coming in the next three to five years, you'll have done really well without getting buried somewhere.
