The Antithesis of Community in the United States

There are two data points to push back on the idea that suburbs are inherently antithetical to community. Robert Putnam looked at the data on the rise of suburbs and correlated that where I should say failed to correlate that with the decline of clubs. Tim Carney in alienating America has pretty good data that the alienation going on and the community atrophy is very socioeconomically correlated so it's not that everybody in America has a lack of clubs and institutions it's the poor people in America who don't have them.
