Is It a Diary or a Book?

I started writing in diaries from the time I was pretty young and especially when I hit adolescence. And so all the troubles that I was having with my mother and all of our terrible emotional pains and all of the conflicted feelings I had of her, like the mix of love and hate that I started to have for her in my adolescence. I wrote it all down and then I went to college. At the last minute, I take this stack of diaries and I hand them to my mother and say, oh yeah, can you take these two? That's interesting. Did she go through the same thing with your brother or was it different? My brother is 11 years older, so I
