The Antichrist and the Transition to a Secular Society

The introduction to the Antichrist talks about how Nietzsche came in a, at the end of a long tradition of the whittling away of like the legitimacy of the church. And this is very Haidagarian, we talk about in framing a lot. The idea that God created everything with the mathematical formula that explained everything was replaced by science and the Enlightenment. So as that transition took place, you know, the church faded from importance. To really understand it, I have to read this passage: "We Europeans confront a world of tremendous ruins"
