Socken: A Stopgap While the Web Upgrades

I believe Socken is an effective stopgap while the web upgrades and trains all of the web's users to think like this. Right now, our perception is my data is not my responsibility and it's also not my property. We've seen a wide shift in that behavior from over the last five to eight years. The same kind of shift for people's relationship to their data should happen on the web.
