The Problem With Systems Thinking in Global Education

In a study that I did a few years ago now, it was interviewing senior policy actors in education in the global north and south. And we found that the interviewees in the global south were much more comfortable with the concepts of complexity and systems approaches. So for me, systems approaches are an appropriate response to the complexity that we face in the world. Non-systems approaches will examine elements and their attributes of a system, but they tend to stop there.
