The Importance of Plantation Life in Texas Slavery
I'm curious too about Nase me Santos de los Negros in terms of what is there now. Are there any remnants of this colony, like in existence today or no? I don't know. There were a couple of people who wrote some great dissertations about those different forms of migration that were happening before the Civil War. And one of the challenges too is that plantation life is different from region to region and from time to time within the context of slavery. It was not a static institution. It was regional. The logistics were determined by what crops were being harvested,. You know, what was the money maker.
