The Madland and the Madeleine

Proust's world-famous Madeleine started out basically as a bit of stale old bread which I was really hoping you would come to that Lucy because it was so interesting in your piece. He did have that as a starting point then it changed his mind and I love that he did that in a sense nothing is ever established forever in Proust and every character turns out to be someone else.
