Is There a Metacognition Experiment?
The demonstration of confidence guided behavior there is I think relatively general in terms of not invoking any higher order cognition. So how do you rule out other explanations that don't require metacognition? Other explanations of which experiments? Oh, I was actually specifically thinking of the one with the babies. And so it doesn't necessarily invoke this notion of conscious awareness of ourselves.
