I-Bond Rates Reset Every Six Months

The yield has two parts to it. There's a base yield which does change based on the bond market but it's in directly tied to inflation. And there's the inflation part which at least in theory it gets it back up to the inflation rate. It resets every six months so inflation can vary within that time. Generally in periods of high inflation your high bonds will keep up.
