The Importance of Discipline in the ESV

In verse 22, as they were making their hearts, here's that word again that we saw at the beginning of the chapter, Mary. I think that in itself is meant to be a depiction of Israel's spiritual state where basically the idea is, you know, everybody's just always partying. And so you've got this man who's making Mary and so he leaves in the nighttime and now he finds himself in this dangerous city. In verse 24, behold, here my, here are my virgin daughter and his concubine. Let me bring them out now, violate them.
