The Enlightenment and Eugenics

During the Enlightenment, that's when our modern notion of race was invented. You can categorize humans into different groups based on mostly based on skin color. And then these different groups have certain intrinsic properties. Intrinsic properties like higher or lower levels of intelligence. The implications for that are profoundly political because then the next step from the biology is the master race and the slave race.
