The Twin Primes Conjecture
In 19 65, sarvadamon chaula formulated a slightly easier way to think about the relationship between nearby numbers. He wanted to show that whether an integer has parody shouldn't in any way bias the number of prime factors of its neighbors. Theorists have found no evidence to suggest that such a correlation exists. But without proof, they can't exclude the possibility that one might emerge eventually.
