The Importance of Punk Dance
Punk was famously born in the mid-1970s as a rebellion against everything. The Sex Pistols, one of the earliest bands to self-identify as punk, invented pogoing. Punk's wanted to get as far from the polished moves of disco like the bump and the hustle as they could. They wanted to be reckless, rowdy, and sloppy and smash into each other. And I invented the dance that would involve being able to knock them all over the fucking 100 club.
