Two Lives by Laurel Coyoena

Dwayne Coyoena grew up the youngest of three kids as an Air Force brat. He learned to draw from his dad, who was part Hopi and part Tehwa. His father would drive drunk with the kids in the car; once he found his dad passed out in the bathroom. Dwayne graduated high school but couldn't hold down a job. Employers got fed up with his excuses, calling in sick. So he thought it's time to pivot: "I just brought the monster to Flagstaff"
