The Uncertainty of a Debate

I always get to lay the groundwork for the debate by presenting my five arguments, say, on behalf of God or Christianity. And so I know that the opponent is going to have to respond to those. So at least I can count on that. Where will be uncertain will be if he has any good arguments for his side. That can throw you, though, though rarely, but it can happen. For example, in my debate with Austin Dacey at Purdue University, he presented an argument attacking substance dualism,. which I simply did not anticipate.
