When i started lifting and just generally applying myself to resistance training, my dead lift got to right around 600 pretty quickly. And then it kind of stayed there for years. Part of that was due to a back injury that made training the dead lift difficult. But during that period, i wasn't squatting a ton, and so i had just more time and recovery capacity to train the dead lift much harder. When i did bulgarian style, high intensity, high frequency training, squatting all the time, but barely training the deadlift, that did actually get my dead lift moving again.
