As skill levels rise, doesn't it get harder to hand things off ther than easier? Do you think there are scenarios where marriage makes a meaningful comeback for lower socio economic groups? And what might those scenarios look like? Well, as someone who got married five years ago after living with some one for 26 yearsi, would have to sort of get out of my own life into some one else's. But i think that from many people, marriage creates more stability, either because they've made a commitment to themselves, or those around them see them is more committed. The main amain benefit is to children, so that children have more stability.
