How Edward Snowden Leaked the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times

Daniel Ellsberg tried to find a third way of having this information disclosed without having to go to prison for the rest of his life at the age of 35 or 40 in order to do it. First he tried to convince senators to read the Pentagon Papers into the record on the Senate but they refused. He then knew that the only way he could possibly get this into the hands of the public was to give it to the media and end up exposed as the source of this material and be prosecuted. That's exactly what happened.
