The Economics of Being a Rancher

Cattle actually finish growing at age 30 or 36 months. Whole foods animals had to be finished younger than that. It's the legal department that didn't want to get sued if someone got mad cow disease from eating an infected, you know, beef animal. And so time is money and they'd rather have a 350 pound box of beef than a 500 pound because it's a year earlier.
