How to Tell the Story of Vesuvius

I think I'm in a very lucky position where I can actually read the archaeology. So I've spent so many years reading the archaeology and then telling them into some form of narrative. How do you then make that fit? Like, for example, they wanted to kind of highlight the story of when Vesuvius erupted and all the pummys came raining down,. how bad that actually was. It's just years of practicing doing it and having Tony Robinson going, you're talking rubbish. Do it again.
