Descartes' Simulation Hypothesis Is Just the Matrix
Descartes is using doubt actually to try and get to certainty. That's what he's trying to do. Most have kind of thought that he failed in that. But there's parallels here. And we'll be able to tie this in, but the first point I wanted to make is that this is just a radically skeptical scenario,. Because we're just asked to imagine that nothing is really as it seems.
