Father's Day and Mother's Day may be hallmark holidays now, but they're also intrinsically political from the beginning. Raising a child is a political act these days, not to mention choosing whether to make one or bring one into the world. We know what parents owe their kids, though that's up for debate by some people. The question we want to ask is what do children owe their parents? And is it inherently selfish act in at least some sense to bring a child into the world in the first place?
