Arthur Sakakita - A Memoir of Service
Arthur was detailed to the Australian Department of Information between March 1944 and 1945. He worked as a counterintelligence agent at Inawituk Atoll, which was a site for nuclear weapons testing. Arthur left the army in 1952 after being promoted to war and officer and later first lieutenant. His partner Richard Sakakita survived the war and served to undermine the Japanese troops occupying the Philippines from inside a prisoner of war camp.
