There's suddenly this Reginheras character was found, first of all, attacking Normandy in the years just before 845. He gained some land there, but the story seems to be he wasn't satisfied with how much of it he got. And so he sailed up the river Sen and attacked Paris, besieged it and eventually was bought off with I think it's something like 70,000 leave ago - which was an awful lot of money. But that's the French account of him. Then we have this guy called Ragnar who maybe about eight or nine years later is raiding in Ireland. The Anglo Saxon Chronicle tells us about his sons who are particularly ferocious bunch associated with the great heat
