The Value of Patience in Relationships
The value of patience as constitutive of valuable relationships is the second level on the road to attaining Aristotelian virtue. The meaning of intrinsic value is it's contested in philosophy, but something has intrinsically valuable if without it, our lives would be impoverished. Once you recognize that level of value as pertaining to virtue, then I think you've got the sort of motivational orientation toward Aristotelians.
