Freud's Sublimation and Satisfaction of Repression
Lacan's main pushback against this notion of sublimation is we find in Freud variously sort of this idea that libido has to be de-sexualized in order to invest the social. And I'm wondering if that formulation in Freud doesn't undergo a change in Lacan where there's a kind of a different conceptualization ofSublimation.
