What Do We Know About Consciousness?
There's every reason to believe that our mental life, including our conscious experiences, a product of our brain. What we don't know is how. Some people have synesthesia where the senses from one sense slop over to others. There's a Russian case study of a guy who couldn't read a newspaper or her breakfast because it ruined the taste of his eggs. People in their 40s and 50s, they read a discussion of mental imagery and then they go, wait, wait. I thought people were just joking.
