The Hostileness of Philosophy

There's suspicion towards Christians working in that field. I think philosophy is generally less hostile than science. If you are in a department, which I'm not, a lot depends on what department you're in. And to what extent that is respected, does your respect depend on how good you are? It also depends on what aspect you go into.
