Quakerism is a predominantly liberal faith tradition to day. While there's no ntral quaker leadership, the you have individual quaker groups that have been doing same sex marriages since the eighties. Quakers have tended to give significantly more autonomy to women than contemporary, most contemporary faith groups did. A lot of quakers have historically been very, very anti death penalty,. as were a lot of abolitionists and radical republicans.
