In 1998 Jim Clark owned 16 million shares in Netscape. At the time they're meeting on July 5th 1998 was trading at $25 a share. That was $650 million less than Clark had been worth two years ago and for that matter $3 billion less than he would be worth nine months from now. He's essentially saying hey the chefs that create wealth Jim Clark is one of those. If followed from this theory any society that wanted to become richer would encourage the bizarre traits that led people to get rich.
