How to Tell a Dickensian Story

There are many different ways an author writes a book. I think about a book for years, sometimes a lot of years before I really begin to write sentences and paragraphs in chapter one and chapter two. It was cooking on the back burner because I live where this book takes place. And so it didn't move from the back burner to the front until the day that I had that brand inspiration to tell the story in a Dickensian way.
