Clostridium difficil patients don't have fecal microbiota transplants specifically to alter their mood. Still, researchers have started to look and see if there's an effect to their mood from the transplants. It is possible that if someone gets a transplant and it helps with their IBS or their C-diff, they're less tired or less depressed because they're not struggling with severe stomach problems anymore.
