The Common Law in Malaysia
The High Court tried to grapple with what approach the common law should take towards a different legal system that has its own property regime. And we could see that in many post-colonial states or in Australia, in the case of Mabo. The solution that the High Court came up with in Mabo was through the common law recognition of native title. So that's one way to deal with it. There are other examples. And let's get to those other examples because I'm keen to hear about Malaysia, your home country or your country of birth.
