Is Glycine Really Beneficial in Blood Sugar Regulation?

Glycine has tremendous benefit in blood glucose regulation. I'm curious if you've ever seen anyone whose blood glucose drops kind of sporadically or often throughout the night. Maybe they're used to eating carbohydrates, maybe they've got some some poor glucose management. If I can bounce up their blood glucose during the day, give them a little bit of glycine before bed, I see an enormous improvement in the number of times people wake up.
