Ailes was impressed with Lenny Rifenstahl's groundbreaking Nazi propaganda piece, the Triumph of the Will. He collaborated on the Nixon campaign with speechwriter and Nixon aide Roman Price who introduced him to the idea that politics is similar to TV.
