Steve Warren was born less than an hour's drive from Bolton Abbey. He grew up swimming in the River Wharf and became a caver as a teenager. Once, Steve was almost crushed by a rock the size of a couch. The only reason why he survived is that a friend pushed him out of the way just in time.
