Is This Getting Democratized?

CNN's John Sutter says he thinks there are two forces at work when it comes to the future of AI. The first is that these models become open source really rapidly, and they're not supervised by a central computer system like we have in our brains. He also argues that once things are open source, you can fork it and do whatever you want with them. And then third thing: They're sort of like the disembodied like language cortex; people are trying to get them to do everything but sometimes surprised when they make up facts.
