The murders are in chronological order aside from the beginning. But what it does really end up being is an exploration of like the one female friend that she had who was like her closest friend and the person she thought confessed to them. She gets quite drunk and goes to her friend's house attempting to kill her because she's convinced that she drunkenly confessed the story of this murder. And so that's when their like friendship kind of begins in earnest. They're college roommates and they immediately hate each other because Dorothy is... Cool. The first one which is the first one.
