Is There Anything Unusual About Bipedal Primates?

We don't really have another primate to compare us too. So when other primates go into a vipedal posture, they tend to be in an more crouched posture am the they are not able to extend their hips and knees in the same way that humans do. The fact that humans can fully extend the knee and fully extend the hip and really yodo hold ourselves in a very straight posture means that at least during walking, we don't actually have to expend a ton of muscular energy to maintain that position.
