Programming should be regarded as a theory in the sense of rile, he says. And if you're not like being such a nerd as to put everybody around you to sleep, maybe you're thinking theory in the more colloquial sense of "I have this idea about what something is" He feels he's already argued for this position and now wants to explore it more. The next issue is to characterize that knowledge more closely.
