There are two kinds of arguments, deductive and inductive. Deductive argument is almost mathematical in the sense that your logic is certain to give you a true conclusion. But inductive argument can change when they are not conclusive. You have to recognize them from what people are saying by looking for conclusion indicators. Tell tale words for premises can be called premise indicators.
