Lewis and Tolkien - What's the Point of Mutual Encouragement?
Tolkien and Lewis had such a different take on their creative sources. Their mutual encouragement, I think, was critical to both of them doing anything outside of their regular academic work. By the time Lewis becomes a Christian, he'd already given up his dreams of being a poet.
