Will to power is something which is descriptive of all becoming, an attempt to bound the boundless just as the pre-Platonics like Diopatomarchritus were doing. Nietzsche's skepticism of causality or his awareness of the contingency of all human perspective led him to regard such a grand unifying philosophical theory as being impure thinking. The last note in Will to Power, Apharism 1067, quote, And do you know what the world is to me? Shall I show it to you in my mirror?"
