The Japan-South Korea Partnership in the Past
The relationship between Japan and south Korea has always been weaker than on the face of it should be. The new government in south grea seems to be sending positive messages to tokio, but people remain sceptical about whether or not they can deliver. If you look at the parliamentary dynamics in south korea, the ruling government is not being supported by the majority of the parliament. Meanwhile, tokyo is not sending discouraging messages to soth crates. It just remains relatively silent. A wait and see mode is something that you could see in tokyo.
